Who Is Paige Alyssa?

by Paige Alyssa

Who Is Paige Alyssa? is Paige Alyssa’s first full length recording project. After two EP’s, two music videos and multiple singles, the artist presents an album focused on some of her favorite influences. You can expect to hear hard hitting drums, lush harmonies, eclectic synth sounds, and catchy melodies that are sure to get stuck in your head.

Lyrically, listeners will be surprised by Paige Alyssa’s straight-forward approach to the topic of sex. While writing this record, she wanted to focus on non-traditional aspects of sex and love. The goal is to challenge society and what they tell us is right or wrong when it comes to our bodies.

The Plug

by Paige Alyssa

Paige Alyssa continues to refine her sound with the release of her second 2017 project, The Plug.  Much like her last single, Worth It, the artist plays with the many influences that inform her sound. This time she puts her focus on the beloved New Jack Swing sound. While listening, you’ll notice the lush harmonic synth movement, the rhythmic bass line, a hard hitting drum track and small melodic elements, all of which are inspired by that '90s sound. Paige Alyssa perfectly writes around all of those elements, creating a feel good pop song to close out a trying year.

Worth it

by Paige Alyssa

Worth It is Paige Alyssa's fourth recording effort after her hit EP, Songs For Myself. Worth It is a stand out track in the artist's catalogue. With the heavy synth sounds and clean 808 drums, Alyssa managed to create a track that pays homage to her influence in the 80s while simultaneously placing her own stamp on the tune. Out of the songs she's released thus far, without a doubt, Worth It  is a prime example of the Paige Alyssa Sound

Songs For Myself

by Paige Alyssa

Songs For Myself is a special record in Paige Alyssa's young repertoire. Being the first EP she fully produced on her own, the singer began to play with sounds that have influenced her at young age. On this album you will hear synth heavy production, complex genres and moody songwriting that reflected her life in that present time.

Fall In

by Paige Alyssa

With Fall In we begin to hear Paige Alyssa’s sound take shape. Coming off the high of her first recording project, Alyssa wanted to focus in on her sound. She decided to take full creative control over her production at this point, and you can hear her influences all through the record. The performer pays tribute to Teddy Riley with the percussive swing on the drums and the overall syncopation in the song. You also hear a lush wall of synth sounds, based off her love for 80s pop music.

The Wait Is Over

The Wait Is Over was Paige Alyssa’s debut recording project. For her first effort, the musician worked alongside St. Louis producer Wolfgang Blair to start her journey into popular music. With the exception of “I Love You,” the sounds on this project focused more on R&B and hip-hop influences. Listeners will be pleasantly surprised by the soulful strings and keyboard sounds as well as Alyssa’s ability to rap over a bar or two.
